Fifty-two miles north of Fermont in the wilds of Quebec, lies Kerbodot fishing camp! The wilderness extends for miles and miles in either direction of the camp, featuring fast flowing rapids with numerous deep pools and runs that harbor huge speckled trout and landlocked salmon.

Information about our Fishing Trips

New camp built in 2015, equipped with all the elements allowing a comfortable stay and a great fishing experience. Catch-and-release fly fishing is strongly encouraged and official possession limits must be respected (Zone 23 Lake Kerbodot South). Topographic maps of the territory, indicating the rapids and the best places for fishing, will be provided on site.

The Lac Kerbodot Fishing Camp is operated by a group of fishing enthusiasts and volunteers from Fermont, in northern Quebec. The cost of our fishing excursions is $ 150 CAD per person per day, in addition to applicable taxes. Children 13 and under are free of charge. Those aged 14 to 17 pay $ 75 CAD plus taxes, per day. A deposit is required. Prices subject to change without notice.

We also offer stays at our beautiful site as part of your snowmobile excursions. The lodge can be rented in the winter for $50 CAD per person per night, in addition to applicable taxes. Children 13 and under are free of charge.

Interesting Fact

Many years ago, the Kerbodot fishing camp and territory were operated for the exclusive use of the management, staff and customers of the Iron Ore Company of Canada. Several kilometers upstream of the main camp, there is even a small abandoned camp which was named the “Mulroney camp” in memory of Brian Mulroney, former president of IOC and former Prime Minister of Canada who frequently visited the camp.

*** Floatplane flights must be booked in advance. The Lake Kerbodot Outfitter can advise you of the options available and make reservations for you. For example, transportation aboard a De Havilland Beaver floatplane from the seabase at Wabush Lake (total flying distance 50 miles to the camp) allows a maximum load of 1,135 lbs including passengers, equipment, food, etc. The weight limit is strictly enforced by the operator. Cost for past season (two return trips, fly-in and fly-out) was approximately $ 1,800 CAD plus taxes, so about $ 450 plus taxes per person for a group of 4 (less if you share with a group that precedes yours or follows it).
